Michael began his art career in high school, when his art became his way of communicating and expressing himself to other people. He received an art scholarship while in high school to attend Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where he was able to participate in college level drawing classes. His specialty was portrait work, although he also did some sculpture. He took a quick break from art in 2001 and joined the army, where he became a combat medic. Thank you! I was able to raise just under $2000 using these types of portraits. Anyone who commissioned me for $250 would have the entire donation donated to the leukemia and lymphoma Society. I also created another huge piece of artwork for them in honor of their man of the year raise almost $100,000. I love those guys! I'm going to be doing a lot more work with them in the future!
