My intention is to show you what a person looks like as well as let know know what people thoughts and feelings are about that for years, and years to come. I want to draw a person's likeness and their legacy!

This drawing is made from words given to me from over 300 people when I asked them "...who is chief sitting bull to you?" Their replies made up this portrait you will have to zoom in to read. Some of the people whom I asked were members of the Lakota and Sioux tribes themselves!

Michael began his art career in high school, when his art became his way of communicating and expressing himself to other people. He received an art scholarship while in high school to attend Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where he was able to participate in college level drawing classes. His specialty was portrait work, although he also did some sculpture. He took a quick break from art in 2001 and joined the army, where he became a combat medic.
